Save The Children

Concert for Children

The Minería Symphony Orchestra is joining forces with Save the Children—the world’s leading organization advocating for children’s rights, active in more than 120 countries—for a unique evening dedicated to Mexican children. Under the baton of Carlos Miguel Prieto, the orchestra’s artistic director, the program brings together four iconic works from the Mexican repertoire: from the powerful imagery of Silvestre Revueltas in *Este era un rey* and *La noche de los mayas* to the unstoppable energy of Arturo Márquez’s *Danzón No. 2* and José Pablo Moncayo’s *Huapango* — two of the most beloved and iconic pieces in Mexican music. An evening that celebrates culture and talent in the service of a cause that cannot wait.
